Re-aligning expectations. Sounds like corporate double-talk. A nice way to say, “yeah, we’re firing everyone,” without saying it. But I have to re-align myself in a few ways. One involves my photography. I had dreams of taking photographs like Helmut Newton or 11MileBay: Moody, strange, erotic and monochromatic. Instead, circumstances brought me here:
I think it’s time for me to start admitting I do landscape photography. That portrait photos – having people other than myself in a picture – is a long time gone. I need to re-adjust my expectations, and lean into what I’m doing. Times change, and so do expectations.
