I’ve been thinking about Shriekback. They’ve always been in the back of my mind. You can blame Michael Mann for it. Manhunter remains a comfort movie for me and Shriekback’s contributions wormed its way into my heart. They call themselves an ‘alternative band from London’ these days that always features ‘weird vocals.’
That undersells them. They can go from raucous to sublime in a moment’s notice. From their days in the 80s:
